Attuda was located near today’s Hisarköy, Turkey. It was first settled sometime in the 8th-6th centuries BCE and was an important city for trade between Tripolis, Laodicea, and Aphrodisas. Archeological evidence indicates it was populated at least until the 7th century CE.

Recent excavations uncovered a temple to Kybele, though most of its ruins are underneath the modern day city and thus unreachable. During Roman times, it was assigned to the province of Phrygia Pacatiana.
