Ankyra, Phrygia was located on the Mekestos river, and is the lesser known of the “Anyaras”. This is not the current capital of Turkey, Ankyra, but a completely different city. Although the ruins have been located, they have been heavily ruined and looted.

Depicted on this coin is Roma, who was worshipped as a deity since Smyrna came up with the idea. It was an effective form of brown-nose to Rome.
