This is one of the very first ancient coins I purchased. I wanted something silver and the price on this one seemed very reasonable until I received it and couldn’t believe how small it was, though since then I have many smaller coins.

Tenedos was captured by Achilles during the Trojan War and many of the Greeks going to and from Troy stopped at Tenedos.

The city has an extremely long history and this page definitely needs more content.
