This is an extremely rare coin from Orikos, which today is an archeological site in Albania and continues to be used as a military base.

Archeological evidence suggests the city was founded in the 6th century BCE, possibly by Euboians. After that, it came under the dominion of Korkyra. At the beginning of the 3rd century BCE, it was taken by Pyrrhos. During the 3rd century, it was one of the largest cities in Epeiros.

228 BCE

Orikos becomes part of the Roman protectorate of Illyricum.
