Like so many ancient cities, little is known about Codrula/Kodroula. Its site has been located near Kaynar Kale in Turkey. Several inscriptions were found near there that demonstrated evidence of Roman emperor worship and a possible presence of the Legio XIV Apollinaris. Today, the remains of a bath complex, aqueduct and temple can be seen, and the site is often subject to illegal excavations.
