Today, the only thing we know about Boione is that it minted coins. We assume that it was somewhere between Larissa and Phokaia, mainly because that’s where the coins have been found, near the Hermus river.

Otherwise, there are no historical records that have reached us, nor have we located the ruins. Its coinage remains rare, though nowhere near as rare as many other cities that we’ve actually heard of.
