Agathokleia ruled part of Baktria from roughly 110-100 BCE. She was the widow of an unknown king and ruled as regent for her infant son, Strato I. She was one of the first women to rule a Hellenistic kingdom. Amastris, who predated her, ruled only a city. Her portrait appears on some coins I can’t afford, but she’s named on mine.
