Prusa ad Olympum was located at the modern day city of Bursa, today the 4th largest city in Turkey. It was settled in roughly 5200 BCE and in Hellenistic times was the city of Kios.

King Prusias rebuilt the city in 202 BCE on the advice of Hannibal, who had taken refuge in Bithynia. It became part of the Roman Empire in 74 BCE.
