Thasian Epeiros, also called Krenides, was established in 360 BCE by colonists from Thasos (hence the word ‘Thasian’). Only four years later, in 356 BCE, it was conquered by Philip II and renamed to Philippi. That’s why these coins are very rare.

I find it interesting though that the coinage is very similar to that of Macedon. Perhaps when they minted this the city was already under the influence of Macedon? Otherwise, I would have expected it to mimic the coinage of Thasos more.
