Gorgippia, now Anapa, Russia, was the capital of the Sindi people. Settled in the 6th century BCE by Sindi Greeks, it was named after a king of the Bosporus. It later flourished in the 2nd and 3rd centuries BCE as part of the Bosporan kingdom. Some of its ruins survive.
