Like so many cities known through their coinage, we know very little about Blaundos. Archeological records indicate that it was inhabited since the 2nd millenium BCE, and there is more history known from Byzantine times. There are ruins of the ancient city visitable today.

Cicero mentions a Zeuxis of Blaundos in one of his letters. Presumably that guy knew more about the city.
