For a few years, Lysimachos renamed the city of Smyrna in honor of his daughter Eurydike, She in turn married Antipater II of Macedon. Yet when he was ousted from Macedon by his brother Alexander V, he yapped so much that Lysimachos eventually executed him. When Eurydike protested, she joined him.

Presumably shortly after that the city was renamed back to Smyrna.
