Today, Chalcis ad Libanum is the city of Qinnasrin, Syria. It sits on the Belos River (now Quieq) and was founded by Seleukos I Nikator and named for the city of Chalkis in Euboia.

It was also known at various times as Chalcis ad Belum. Today, very little remains of the ancient city because Qinnasrin grew over it.

92 CE

Chalkis ad Libanum receives the title of Flavia in honor of Domitian.
