Apollonia Chalkidiki was located just north of Olynthos and was undoubtedly part of the Chalkidian League. It is believed to have been destroyed by Philip II in 348 BCE when he also destroyed Olynthos. Clearly, based on the coinage, the city was rebuilt. Its coins are relatively rare.
348 BCE
Philip II conquers Olynthos and Apollonia Chalkidike and thus destroys the Chalkidian League.
