We know very little about ancient Iolla, since there are no records concerning it. Some believe it took its name from a river, though we’re not sure exactly which one.
All we have is its coinage, which is relatively common given the lack of records. This one depicts Zeus and Pegasos, though the image of Pegasos does not suggest a link between it and Corinth.
Historians believe it wasn’t far from Adramyttion.
