We know very little about Hydisos, save that it was a member of the Delian League. Its site is near Karacahisar, Turkey and the city wasn’t far from Mylasa.

I like this coin for the flying bird on the reverse, which looks a bit like a plane. The city’s ethnic is also visible. This coin may be the only one of its type and denomination. One other of a larger denomination is known. Coins from Hydisos are very rare.
