Lysias was mentioned by Strabo and was probably founded by Antiochos III around 200 BCE. Not very much is known about it. Even on this coin, the image of tyche with a cornucopia and rudder is perhaps the most common image on ancient coins. It typically referred to either a good harvest or the wish for one.
