Antiochos II Theos was king of the Seleukid Empire from 261 BCE to 246 BCE. He succeeded his father Antiochos I Soter. I’d long debated whether Antiochos II fit in my “people” collection, since he never dealt with any of the original Diadochi. He was born in 286 BCE, and the major events of that era he either missed or was too young. In the end, I decided to include him, but as the tail end of this collection.
